Imagine if everything we said and did was centered around getting to heaven. We could create heaven on earth at home. Mother Teresa said, “If you want to bring happiness to the whole world, go home and love your family.” Unfortunately, many families are broken and troubled, and a happy and holy home is not the norm or usual, however we always have the ability to create new habits and ways through prayer and seeking. We are all seeking a happy home and that happens through holiness.
Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Let us ask in prayer that the Lord shows us the way to being the mother, wife, and person God created us to be. This is a lifelong process. God is always refining us. We just need to recognize things as such.
Zechariah 13:9 “And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, it is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.”
This also brings to mind a Book, Becoming the best version of yourself by Mathew Kelly Matthew Kelly, be the best version of yourself "You were born to become the-best-version-of-yourself! This is your essential purpose and the most important discovery you will ever make. This reality will change your life more than anything you have ever learned. In every situation, simply ask yourself, 'Which of the options before me will help me become the-best-version-of-myself?'" Kelly then explains the meaning of friendship, work, marriage, money, all in relation to our essential purpose. Beyond that he demonstrates how understanding our essential purpose brings clarity and direction to our lives, especially in the area of making decisions. Also, he challenges us to reassess the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of our lives. He also explains how these four new habits can transform our lives.”
